I am looking for anyone that has a direct contact number for anyone at Ross Express. in the States. Or any contact that I can start up a ladder to someone that can help.

Reason.
I had a shipment picked up on Wed that was supposed to be a direct drive to my facility. Instead, the truck went to their East Granby warehouse where it now sits. They were closed yesterday and today.

I need access to this material as it is critical infrastructure that has downtime planned for this weekend. For those of you that know what I do, you can understand what this means.

I have a vehicle sitting in East Granby on standby.

PM if you can help.

Thanks,

On US Thanksgiving? Good luck. This is the week you don't order anything from McMaster-Carr. At least anything that you don't need till next week.

Ross doesn't do direct drive to Canada... or come into Canada at all. They use other carriers.
I'm not sure what service you thought you bought, but it wasn't 'direct drive'
Overnight.. the day before US thanksgiving.. wasn't a good idea.

Mistakes were made, that is why I am now involved.

The originating carrier and customs clearance are all involved in this at this time.

What we need is a contact at Ross so I can start climbing the ladder to get this done.

Try DMing one of these people, might get lucky?

My experience is you are Sol in this situation I have been there and nothing will happen until Monday despite all the noise you can make.

I on the other hand appreciate others experiences in a similar situation as it may save me a ton of time & frustration.

A major Toronto developer needed my help but I refused the service call telling them a previous invoice was months overdue. I had a cheque delivered by mail the next afternoon. Someone in the organization knew what buttons to push push to get the old invoice paid.

I think this is the kind of contact the OP wants to find. It may not be easy.

Try that in certain circles in automotive and you'll never get a PO again. I don't think any supplier was ever paid on time. lol

I have 15 plus or minus transports incoming and outgoing on a daily basis , and rail cars on our siding . As well as containers showing up weekly .

Want to see a logistics problem get created ? Promise a delivery of critical goods to ship over a holiday weekend using anything other than my own truck and driver. Transports that use terminals , will drop X at Y and it won’t matter that you specifically said , must be here Thursday . That turn around terminal will let it sit till there is enough frt to put on a run. When you have to have it , send your own truck .

My condolences to Soulcatcher , I’ve been in his shoes to a degree. Have an entire truss roof assembly to be at a cottage to line up with the crane guy at $600hr and the ten carpenters that will truss sheath and shingle the roof in two days because the electrician and plumbers are both in Monday . Truss truck guy heads up Friday aft to deliver at 7am Saturday , except he gets drunk with some floozy at motel 6 . He’s only 18kms from where he should be . But he’s passed out drunk and not answering a phone .

We've all been there. Needed some technical gear to do a job in Montreal. Fedex guaranteed 9AM delivery (and charged for it). Sitting in montreal with my finger in my bum at 14:30 and still no equipment. Fedex says they can't track the truck, 9am is a suggestion not a guarantee and it's not safe to call the driver while he is driving. *^&%&*^%&*%*&(%&*^%. So many lies and disappointment. I had nothing better to do so I drove around looking for fedex trucks to follow and harass if they had my urgent package. Eventually showed up around dinner time and then my day of work started.
