I've got enough stuff to worry about carrying on my bike. I just trust my insurance to pay out if it gets stolen. So far I've been lucky. Even with the keys in it over night in a Green P I was fine.
On the topic of tank bags, I tried one and hated having a bulky thing in front of me. But many people love them.
