Lets see your track bikes!!!!!!!!

I'm building my own and it's a totally different feeling than when I just pick up someone else's bike, it's mine and feels unmolested. Well the bike feels unmolested my wallet feels like it was drugged, passed around an all male gang bang and tossed out of a moving car on the 401....I think.

I prefer mine being built by someone who likely knows more than me and at 50% of the price.

And someone I know, I will never just buy a race bike from anyone I don't know.

Learned your lesson? lol
Not about that, there was never anything wrong with my bike. I just feel that knowing the bike and owner will make u feel more confident on what you are riding at those speeds

Already went that route, didn't work as well as I hoped. I'm confident in my abilities to add bolt on parts and setup will be done by the pros obviously but wanting a specific model and year with a stock motor you don't have many choices.

its finally happened i got a track bike for the moment.

ill try and come out to slow days. i need excessive track time to be happy.

gave all the regular sport bikes a hard run for their money.

just wish i could hammer it coming out of corners. ever since i got rear ended the second gear has been slipping. noticed it a little at shannonville and been getting worse since. bike would whip sideways as gear would slip trying to kick me off the bike.

Err...are you sure it is not your tire breaking loose? What do you think is "slipping"? The clutch can do that but it is normally worse in a higher gear. What you describe sounds exactly like the rear tire breaking loose under acceleration...which is how you make a highside happen.

originally i thought it was the tire breaking loose at shannonville on my first track day.
as it would break loose and hook back up around turn one.
it felt like the tire was skipping but only in second gear. i wasn't certain at the time.
it's gotten worse now and is easier to confirm it only happens in second gear.

had to prefect the fast in technique to make up ground going into corners. would lose ground on acceleration

yea I am not sure how the action of the tire breaking lose and then grabbing can be confused with the transmission skipping. 2 completely different feelings
