Let Me Know Your Thoughts?

Being reported that it was loaded with fireworks. Driver died. It's also being reported that the vehicle was on hire from Turo.

Video from across the street shows the explosion and fire coming from the cargo and passenger compartment. It's directed upward, not out from underneath. Photo of the vehicle on fire shows no scorch marks below the base of the windows and no evidence of fire or smoke underneath or from wheel wells. Fender skirts (plastic) are intact. This supports the car bomb theory.

Now WHY this happened, and why it happened right in front of Trump Tower ... those are darn good questions.

Wondering if it's anything to do with reports of the happening in new orleans?

They obviously picked the wrong truck at trump tower. that thing is built like a tank and contained most of the explosion

Well, they didn't exactly use the strongest explosive available, either. There's a photo circulating of what was left in the bed of the truck: A gasoline can, a couple of Coleman camp-fuel cans, and random detritus which is presumably the leftovers of fireworks - which are designed to produce pretty sights and a little bit of noise, as opposed to actually blowing stuff up. It blew the tonneau cover off, and set the truck on fire.

If they had used a real explosive - like Timothy McVeigh used in Oklahoma City - there would be nothing left but shrapnel. And it would have blown out lots of windows in the adjacent building.

Wrong truck? or wrong explosives? or both

I don't think the choice of vehicle made any difference whatsoever, given their choice of combustibles.
You average farmer can mix a bucket Anfo ( diesel and fertilizer), add a fuse and blast a rock or tree out of the ground.

It’s not rocket science.

Yeah, this explosion was amateur level.

I'm seeing preliminary reporting that the LV guy was a 37 year old man from Colorado, ex military. There's a photo circulating of someone with the same name, but apparently from Pennsylvania but the photo is from a few years ago, unknown if it's the same person. Wait for facts.

If it turns out he is ex military, I hope he was a cook . That’s a trailer park boys goes to Vegas level bomb .

LV was total incompetence he didn't even ram into the building through those glass doors. My guess is the cyberturd would have plowed right into the building if that was the goal.

Or napalm (melt styrofoam in acetone).
