Lee Parks and Total Control are coming to Ontario

Yup, before the first exercise I told myself "it's no big deal if I go down":)

Go get that new battery! And I'm glad to hear that you removed the fear from your reptile brain. :)

lmao Cute Kill I can't believe you edited my post.

For those of you who went, how likely is one to low side their bikes? Anyone come close? Maybe I should install some sliders before registering...

Aren't you not supposed to lean away from the turn. Unless the goal is just to get the bike to lean more while accomplishing the same turn as you would if you leaned into the turn while keeping the bike more upright...
David's right, that picture was taken part way through the day and there were some drills that are figure 8's, so I'm not sure how deep into the turn I was. At any rate my form leaves much room for improvement especially because for the 2 months preceding this class, I was focusing on slower speed dirt riding which does have some opposite leaning techniques. That said, I was very happy with my improvement in the classes, so that is the true measure of success. As the day progressed, I was able to lean into the turns better and better, practice hanging off more and more and also work on improving my overall body/head position. Leaning heavily into the turns is not something I do on a regular basis, so it took (and takes) some getting used to.

It's quite unlikely that you would low-side your bike, unless you were really pushing beyond your abilities or made a combination of any number of mistakes. If you have sliders and are worried about your bike, put them on - I did, just for the course, because I was worried too.

people have lowsided before but its quite a rare occurence. a really great safety feature in the course is they have you deflate your tires to 30 psi which increases grip a bunch. technically speaking, the whole point of the course is to help you not fall. its when studenta put in incorrect inputs or are super jerky that the chance to go down increases as they keep leaning and leaning.

Registered for L1 on July 13th (red 300)

The End of may start of June are the only classes I will be missing as I have a wedding to attend, but I will be at the rest of the classes! I am sure you will be in good hands for the opening classes as Lee Parks will be on hand as well!

Level 2 yesterday was a blast. I have to say that while level 1 learning curve is higher, as it gives you a lot of new techniques to learn, level 2 helps you close all the gaps and put the puzzle together.

Thank you David for coming all the way here to teach, and thank you Nancy and Donna for teaching/organizing such a great event.

Signed up for the 13th.

Where is it located? lol I was trying to get an exact address but couldn't find it, just know it's in Mississauga.

See everyone there on the 13th or 14th which ever you are signed up for! There are some pictures up on the website from past classes!
