it's an inconvenience to the 20-30-50 other motorists because it raises their blood pressure and might induce a heart attack. Some people just need to learn to chill.
yet another attack when just state what happened. Wasn't angry was just saying as im sure if you got pulled over due the actions of others youd fine with that.
@ OP
Like everything community there are always people who follow the law and then there are people who don't, also everyone breaks laws at some level or the other. If you were in the lane waiting like everyone else while other bikers passed on the shoulder i believe the cagers would have certainly noticed how not all bikers are the same. Some wait while others don't, i don't see why it would ruin the biker image given there are others who wait in line just like everyone else. If someone from the same community breaking the law ruins the image of others then that would mean every community's image is tarnished at one level or the other. The police have their crooks, so does the army, so do the doctors, and the list goes on......unless there is an overwhelmingly stark number of bikers who break the law which i believe is not the case(hopefully) i don't see why that would ruin my image.
Aside from that people usually break traffic laws which are easier to forgo....i am sure if the cagers could lane split....err...i mean lane filter, there would have been an awful lot of them doing it. Also from a cager perspective i would rather have someone go on the shoulder then weave in and out of lanes causing me trouble.
i was sweating bullets on my sv but i waited like everyone else.
I guess that you haven't seen the many FTP threads around here?
Chiropractic clinics seem to be starting to get painted with a rather broad brush, based on some number of them being involved in insurance fraud. I'm pretty sure that annoys an acquaintance of mine, who is in the business.
I often see cagers taking to the breakdown lane, in order to get an advantage over slower moving traffic. The difference is that with the sheer number of them, it's hard for their overall image to be tarnished by the few who do this. By way of comparison, we're far more limited in number and visible.
Some broken laws, like the speed limit to a limited extent, are given a pass by observers. It can even be dangerous to not speed, in certain circumstances. Others make you stand out and it's the nail that sticks up, that gets hammered down. A few morons, in Montreal, have managed to get certain residential areas marked as off limits for ALL motorcyclists. Civic bylaws are being rewritten because of the same sort of excessive noise, created by a relative few.
The bad behaviour of a few can most certainly have an effect on the many and the, "I do what I want!" cries of these people take on the same sort of grating tone as that of the teenage sex addicts on the Maury Show, with the same level of maturity.
Then ride up the shoulder and cool down. Sweat it out or risk a ticket but don't complain about what others do.
Nice to see the to sport bikes ride up the shoulder as we all waited in the traffic around 1030pm last night. I know you think your special but makes us all look bad i was sweating bullets on my sv but i waited like everyone else.
These are the type of moves that help give us a bad name. Hope the cop i passed sitting in the shoulder about half hour later didn't get you or maybe i do?
If you check the text, you'll find that it was skimmed from the original post. It was a spam bot.
Ive seen middle aged dorks with their daughters on the back of daddy's HD in flip flops do this, especially in the weekends. They'll probably get get a nail or glass punctured tire.
I could care less
