Last few blasts for this year - who wants to ride?

This video is awesome..I wish my XR was blue plated!I would have loved to do that ride with u guys....I gotta make room in my garage for a 4th bike a dual sport! Oh and convince the wife too!!!
You should come out with us? Got anything blue plated with knobbies? Trade the wife for the 4th bike?

Yeah I didn't put everything in there, and the sound is muted because "people" don't like me using their music. I'll try to fix it.

I put some more footage in there and fixed the sound.

Nice video. Those trails look pretty fun. You need a proper enduro :p

Do you guys do any routes up there that have no paved and minimal dirt roads (ie, less risky for green plates)?

Awesome, I was thinking Terra Nova might be a likely spot. Is there good safe parking for truck and trailer anywhere?

Mission Cycle on Mill Street in Angus is around the corner from the tracks and they have a large parking lot. Apart from that, I remember seeing a few gravel areas close to the beginning that will accommodate a truck/trailer easily.

As I said earlier in the thread, I want to ride this week, I was hoping for Monday but that isn't going to happen given my work schedule. What about Tuesday or Wednesday? It's getting colder and wet later in the week.

As for where to ride, either hockley-Creemore, Terra Nova or the Bethany rides.

Tues or Wed is good with me, Wed I'd have to leave Scarborough at 10 am though.

Ok, let's aim for Tuesday so we don't run into a late start for the day - it's getting dark earlier everyday.

So Tuesday weather is looking like rubbish so now looking at this Wednesday - Bethany riding? More sand Nam!

So how about we meet at Haugens BBQ at 11:00 and go from there? That's pretty much the beginning of the Bethany route and it gives me a place to park my truck.

Link for Haugens: http://www.haugens.com

I'm not sure how much of the ride we will get to do given that we are starting at 11:00 but maybe we can pack a light lunch and eat on the trail instead of wasting an hour or so eating. We can always do dinner at Haugens after the ride before heading home...

So who else is interested in joining us? It's probably one of the last rides as I'll be away for two weeks starting next Monday.

Damn - this is a ton of rain today and it's not even close to ending yet. Nam, we may want to rethink tomorrow's plan to ride...

As it turns out, I'm available to ride tomorrow and I like late starts.

If we stuck to high ground and the sandy and rocky areas it should be okay, right?

I think that riding the Bethany aggressive route will be a colossal muddy disaster. At least with the hockley - Creemore ride, there are only two primary spots where mud can be nightmarish and both can be circumnavigated.

Creemore could work for me, that way I don't need to cross the city.
