Last decent thing you did

Just wondering what the last nice thing you did for another person was. It could be something simple such as holding open a door or something huge as giving money to keep someone from starving.

For me: it was helping an employee who quit school to support her family find another part time job through a connection.

If you're sincere you should never expect anything in return and by seeking glorification on doing something "decent" then you did it for yourself and not the person you intended to help.

Agreed. In the spirit of the thread though, pulled over in the sketchy section of Hwy 17 to help out an old guy change a tire.

I think it's kind of a given that people only do good deeds to ultimately make ourselves feel better on some level. And that's ok.

Yesterday I saved my wife some work and put together two Ikea bookshelves by myself. Now if THAT'S not love, then I don't know what is.

I always buy a meal for one homeless guy in my area whenever i see him. And in return he always tells me stories of his past life. So its give and take! :)

I bought someone a small coffee because they kept forgetting their debit card pin and people were getting visibly angry. Nice old lady at 7:30am so it was a win-win, really since I got my coffee faster :P.

If A&W has those two-for-one burger deals, I'll give the second burger to the lady in front of Tim's on Yonge and King... but only because she's SUPER nice. She'll usually give half the thing to her dog.

Watch out for the "6 months pregnant and homeless" girls... that seems to be the new fad (at least 3 in my general area). I've seen the same girl every summer for the last 3 years... thing is she never "updates" her X-months pregnant sign lol.

Well if you'd tried to do it together that would have meant a divorce..so there ya go! :-)

Yup..otherwise it's a just your ego looking for a boost..

yeah or trying to convince yourself that therefore you are a good person.

There is a some truth to that. Maybe when you're in a crappy mood it helps to know that something you did may have made a difference to someone. As far as wearing it on your sleeve goes that defeats the purpose. It's about how you feel about yourself. No matter what you do someone will judge.

lol that's too funny dude she gave me one last night too..... just for her pleasure of course...
;)

Will have to massage your face with my fist........for my pleasure though

your such a good man!!

*sigh* why are all the good ones taken!?!? haha

Don't worry, I'm sure, you'll find an awesome guy like me one day...

That's cute.

I once try to ran a taxi off the road, I figure it was the decent thing to do. End his pathetic existence for a human being
