Hey all
After returning home from Americade I had some time to reflect on my trip.
I got looking at the weather and it wasn't very promising to the south.
But to the east is was looking fantastic.
I had to move a few things around but decided to go to Laconia.
I left on Thursday June 19 and returned Monday June 23.
It was a great trip.
Because of the weather the attendance was high and i managed to travel quite a bit in the VT and NH area.
Thursday i rode from home to Lake George NY.
I had planed to make it to Concord NH but a late start in the day changed that.
I stayed in Lake George cause i was familiar with the area.
I got there just in time to have supper at the Barnsider.

The next day i made my way to Laconia and around the area
Hwy 4 across is an amazing ride

I stopped in Quechee Gorge for lunch at a road side stand .

After lunch I rode around further east then came back to spend the night.









 
After picking up a couple shirts in Laconia i made my way up to the top of Mt Washington.

















 
After Mt Washingtom I made my way to Gorham for the night











 
Sunday I decided to take HWY 100 from north to south

This turned out to be the only disappointment in the trip.
It's a great rout but unfortunately the road is in terrible shape.
the only blessing was the lunch i had in Rochester VT and the siesta that followed.

I spent the night in Utica NY and then the next day made my way home.
Review of trip.
I like Laconia.
It's a big rally and the riding in the area is beautiful.
Accommodations can be hard to find so you have to plan accordingly.
I was suppose to do Mt Washington a couple years ago but got rained out.
This trip I made it to the top and it was simply breathtaking.
I'm so glad I got it in this year.
Accommodations were great but like i said a little hard to find at times.
all the food i ate was amazing
the riding in the area is beautiful with just a few roads that are in pretty bad shape.
hopefully these will get cleaned up soon.
Its a younger crowd that goes to Laconia and a lot more sport bikes.
But all the people i met were great.
Next for me will be my west coast trip

Great pics! I went to Laconia in '81, had a blast. Food was just as "healthy" then, too.:D
