Labour day long weekend - Riding South to Pa, VA and WV

Sad to say I can't make this trip as I'm still employed. 1000 km day wont be hard with this group ;)
 
I will be spending Monday night in Olean possibly, 1000km day and boarder traffic translates to possibly 12-15 day.
Will confirm 100% tmro once I hear back from the ex if she will switch kids weekends with me lol.
Sounds like an epic trip and route looks good, I've done all those roads and defiantly looking forward to going back .
 
Yes, people are taking advantage of the last long weekend before school starts so they can maximize their vacation without taking too much time off. Evening will be fine for tomorrow.

today is okay and we are committed to Watertown and then tomorrow we might head south and west instead of east.

Missed the ferry at Kingston but likely a blessing in disguise as might have missed the one into the US as it closed at 7 - so went around via Gananoque and breezed through.
 
Awesome trip guys, hope everyone makes it home as quickly as I did, took two minutes too cross the boarder. Hope the philly cheese steaks were worth the trip.
 
Glad you made it home safe and sound. I heard you fired the bike this morning and opened the door, you were gone.

Boarder wasn't bad at all, just like Friday. Dave was as quick as we were in the Nexus line. Alex want to shop at the duty free so just three of us rode back together. Got in the door around 5:45PM.

Yes, we stopped at the restaurant. Alex ordered two ; - one for eat in and one for take out!

BTW, South section of 144 was repaved. Other than the couple km towards Renovo, the road was silk smooth.

3 days of intensive ride, I think I need a break next weekend. Postponing the Gaspe trip for later days.

I missed a good ride, Cheu is there still a NY catskill weekend ride for this year?
 
Probably the same like the previous thanksgiving rides to see the fall color, and probably will be going South into PA and move East towards Bear mountain area. Will see how the weather is like by then.

I had not been to the Catskills and ended there accidentally tagging along with another rider on a longer trip - will go back for sure.
With the Nexus card now and decent internet time to widen the ride radius :D

Now if I could get my kid moving before 9 am ....then we'd have some range :rolleyes:

I've got some great routes in Bear MT Area. It's my winter riding spot.
