Kymco Quannon 150?

You're right, the WRX is the tallest at 35.2. The CRF is 31ish. Still, its not just the seat height but also the positioning of the pegs & bars. I cant really speak on the WRX as I only have experience with the CRF but I found it to be pretty good for a tall guy. I imagine the WRX would be even better but I believe its also more expensive. Honda was blowing out 2009 CRF's this summer for around $3700 I believe. I think they are all gone but thats a wicked deal.

That's not much more than a ninja, all the ninja 250s after 2008 have a seat height of 30.5, which is basically 31.

The CRF suspension is pillow soft (even with sag set), so the ride height is a fair amount shorter once the suspension is loaded. This is me on a CRF230M, I'm abit less than 5"10 and both my knees were slightly bent while flat footing.

In comparison, I can just barely flat foot on a KLX250SF with stock suspension and half cheek the WRX.

Yeah but for me, its more than just seat height as it is the fact that I got to fold up my legs like chicken wings to rest my feet on the pegs. The standard position on a dual sport is just much more comfortable for me then a sport given my height and husky thigh meat! You don't need to go for a CRF either, like onecartel mentions, its short in comparison to the KLX and WRX. Those would probably fit you great. The KLX i think is the best looking out of the bunch too with more modern looks.

See I follow your logic but I have two issues with that. 1) I need a forgiving bike/something to learn on. 2) Honda CBR 125's are (like posted above) only 2G-3G 3) Anything above 250cc will cause my insurance to go through the roof.

get a 250. way more capable.

i pay $61 a month for my kawi 250.

Cool. Good for you for trying something different. Be sure to let us know how the bike goes as you might just be the first guy on here with one.
