know of a trusted dealership for used vehicles?

Don't go to Subaru Brampton.

Merino's Fine Cars has a collection of dealers near the end of the 427 and they at least gave me good service but I can't judge their used cars.

Always get it checked by a 3rd party mechanic. Drive it hard on the test drive.

If you're looking for "certified used" or a warranty, read that paperwork damn well and make sure it doesn't change between negotiation/down payment and pick up. Always great to realize later that you paid a premium for a certified used car and actually ended up with something "as is" because they changed the paperwork on you.

People do that? Even if that's the case, you still have a safety paper. The dealer may deny responsibility but the mechanic who certified the car can't.

Sorry, by as is I meant no warranty. It still had a valid safety certificate. Although those mean next to nothing. That particular car had warped rotors.

My most recent car I bought safetied had a leaking power steering line, a bad tie rod end, two worn wheel bearings, and a leaking caliper. It also got a check engine light a week after purchase.

That was from Can Pak Auto in Scarborough. Don't go there either.

I've taken several certified cars to my own mechanic and found they needed new power steering racks, all new brakes, new suspension, etc.

You should be going back to the dealership to have those issues rectified. Shouldn't have passed the safety with all those issues.

Well most of those I didn't buy. Other than the Subaru I generally expect that the safety means very little. I know places that will give a safety without even seeing the car. For an extra price, of course.

It all depends on your credit. I've seen 6.9% and I've seen 29.9%. If you have a credit score of 3xx, what do you think you'll be getting?

Wow that's crazy....I would just assume you don't get financing.

I stand corrected then. Keep your credit clean people!
