As they should be!!! I had this conversation with my cousin in australia before.

Cousin: We drive on the left side of the road. That's the right way.
Me: We drive on the right side of the road. That's the right way.
Cousin: No it's not!
Me: The man that invented the car is American. They drive on the right side of the road!

All British colonies are left side - they rode horses on the left. It had to do with the whips being toward the centre of the road instead of whipping the people walking on the side.

Since USA is right side, Canada has to follow also.
