30 years in the area riding and I better know them.
I do get to ride a lot as I can work anywhere and my scala picks up phone calls on the go and I have my Mac with me. So no loss of contact - can hardly turn down lovely days.
Still I went up Old Highway 24 and discovered some new areas and I had not been to Brantford in a long while - quite the expansion. I'll go back over that way it's it quick jump on the 403 to get to the west of Brantford.
I do like to just point the bike and see where the wind blows. Buddy and I had one of best days - bloody long but only 200k - poking around the shores of Lake Erie.
Im tempted to get a dual sport here as I really enjoyed the flexibility to get on to forest tracks but there is not much available nearby for that here and I can be in North Bay in 3 hours on the Burgman in comfort plus it carries a ton of stuff for various conditions and for the computer etc in safety and security.
It's extremely stable on the side stand so I can stop, take pics etc no matter what the surface. As many have discovered on the Burgman site it becomes the bike of choice for everyday riding. No shifting, fun in the twists and you can do the weeks shopping or a weeks trip with no fuss. Bulletproof reliable. 50k on two of them and not a single issue beyond a dead battery on the 2005.
I like reporting the rides as I know others can't get out as much so it may look like a lot. If I help a few others find good roads - that's great - I've benefitted from others experiences as well. The Big Map up top here is great.
This year was exceptional having 3 months in Australia and the good part was no rust on the riding skills over the winter.
Nice day - get out there
