KMs: How much is too much?

There is no reason in the world that a Street Ridden Sport bike can't do mileage well over 100,000 km, especially if they are liquid-cooled ones.

The engines are generally bulletproof. Look at ads to see what kills bikes: parking the bike with gas in it for >5 years. Modern engines are amazing, but what goes on a bike are all the other expensive bits, like suspension.

The exceptions are Ducatis -desmo valves were a great idea in racing in the 60s, still a stupid idea today on road bikes.

There are lots of higher km bikes that still have lots of life left in them. Regular maintenance and following proper winter storage routines are good. Ask to see bills for dealer work. If they claim to do everything themselves ask for parts invoices, they should have a well worn shop manual and also be able to rattle off periodic maintenance schedules and processes with ease. IMHO Honda offers the best overall build quality and longevity
