The day was great! 2 groups as usual and loads of track time. First session I did a sighting lap, a hot lap, a "oh, it's starting to drizzle, meh..." lap, and then I came out of Nelson it was drizzling, half way down the front straight full-on rain! "Oh ****, I gotta brake for turn 1 now!" haha... Track dried up by 10am and we got 6 good 20 minute sessions (not including the one I skipped mid-afternoon).
It was a fairly crashy day but no large damage and nobody hurt, so very little impact to the schedule. Yeah, he lowsided in Nelson's into the bales.
Oh yeah, and NAFTA is good. Back to being wicked fast and nice and smooth on the throttle transitions now.

It was a great day! The London guy on the R1 was ok. Actually, I think no injuries all day. Only two groups so lots of track time after it dried up
I'm booked for the August 11th Pro6 day if you can make that one

I called them last week about this. They said if there is a track day the next day they dont close it for out of towners coming up the night before
Yesterday was a fantastic day at grand bend
4 groups, 20 mins a group in the morning and than 15 mins in the afternoon.
Busiest I have seen GB, had to pit near the bathrooms.
Never done the technical track, and now is my favourite!
Randy, I have plans next Sunday for a BBQ, so I'm going to go to tmp on the Saturday

I'm planning on Thursday August 6th evening and Monday August 24th (day) at Grand Bend.
Mosport Tuesday August 11th is still in there too.

Would consider the evening lapping on 11th if it's not modified track.
Evening lapping on the 6th? Paul just posted that modified is seldom used for bikes, so we should be good.
Saara had a great time doing the 3 laps of TMP in a Gallardo, didn't crash it which is awesome. She had a great time doing it, but its only the supershort track though, so the laps are pretty quick. For the $40 deal TMP does with a track day its a good deal, but I wouldn't buy it otherwise.
After TMP, drove to SMP. Toronto traffic @ 10:30 pm was a crap shoot. Got there, had a tent ready for me, got some sleep. Was nice not to have to drive in the morning and just take your time. Did 1.5 laps of the first session then heard "tick tick tick", then got a nasty surprise in the back of the leg. Chain broke. Rivet master link came off. No idea what happened there. Just going on to the back straight. Bike will be ok, althouh took out some fiberglass and made some marks in the aluminum on the swing arm. So we both rode John's D675.
A couple crashes, until the end of the day, 6 bikes in a train in yelllow, one gets impatient in turn 8, but completely misses the inside pass, goes right into the backwheel of another bike. 2nd bike hits a 3rd bike, 3rd bike makes it out ok. One rider was ok, one went to hospital. No need for any of it at all. I was able to avoid it all, but gws to those guys.
TMP on saturday is probably a no go. Anyone have a master link rivet tool? Borrowed one last time, but wasn't the best tool.
