Kawasaki's 2013 new 250r. Are you ready?

I'm very very impressed. Thinking of moving down to the 250 class....maybe....as a gift for the wife....that I may borrow...a lot.

It looks great... too bad its not like the JDM SS 250s of yesteryear. Then I might consider downgrading.

which the cbr has already...
but i guess now its not about feature's battle anymore but the look's battle
I'd say a twin trumps a single though. the Kawi 250 is looking like a nice package.

"Bikerpoint reports that both the crankcase and pistons are new, the cylinders are now die-cast, the frame is new and that ABS is optional. Fuel-injection is included."

If this is true, this will be my next bike! Next year..

makes me almost want another one...I didn't see them doing such an overhaul so soon considering the last one was around 20 years...

Go to this link and click on the Japanese mini-site link found there ...

... and you will find the words "Digital Fuel Injection (some markets)".

They could still screw this up ...

A 28th year SE kawasaki 250 celebrating the 28th year of a man on this planet?

Yes please!

Im selling my zx6r and getting me one of these cool @$$ 250's !!!! None of the power and all of the looks ! =D

Aren't the current 250's FI in Europe and it's just North America that's still using carbs?

Yes, and the only reason for that, is that Europe has considerably more stringent emission standards for motorcycles. There's no change in emission standards for North America, so theoretically, Kawasaki could cheap out again.

OTOH the Hondas are built the same worldwide, to meet the most stringent worldwide standards, and the cbr125 and cbr250 both use closed-loop EFI with 3-way catalyst.

I like it! Especially the dash. Hopefully Kawi leaves the EFI in for North America...

Sadly, it appears that, despite the heavily revised frame, motor and fairings, this is yet another facelift to a bike that’s been around largely unaltered since 1985 rather than an all-new model.

WTF? What more do you want?

looks like a solid bike. with FI and ABS it's going to blow the CBR250 out of the water.

yeah like those adds "your move Honda" lol

looks nice. i'm now ready to move on to my next bike ... now with FI, this may fill the bill nicely.

might just get one of these for street riding and ensuring I keep my license on the roads....

save the SS for the track.
