I would say get the 300 cuz you will most likely keep it longer. But if you want to upgrade in a year or so I'd go 250. It's cheaper for you to buy and you can sell it for close to the same. If you buy the 300 and sell it in a year you are out all the admin fees etc. that you paid up front. to sum it up, you take a smaller loss on a 250. Personally I'm selling my r6 cuz insurance is a waste of money. If I get another street bike it would be either a newer 650, 300, or naked bike since they are cheaper to run and insure.
