I'm definitely not a kawi guy. I watched that history on Velocity as well. I don't think I'd put that green on anything but a kawi- but on their bikes and as part of their branding I do like it a lot. Like Blue for Yamaha, and Red for Honda.

Love it (like it even more because of the reason behind it).

My versys is Kawi green, with colour matched v35s. I love it, always have. Just not when they put it on the Vulcan 1500! I think the green plays better with black accents, not tons of chrome.

Green is a special color, from biology standpoint .... Look it up, you will learn something ... :-)

Kawi had many shades of green over the years. some good and some not so.

I like the 2002 candy lime green on the ZRX

Maybe a painting specialist would know, but isn't Kawasaki Green a range of greens? The zx7 and zrx1100 greens seem to be slightly different (flatter & bluish) to the Ninja 650r and Versys greens (pearlescent & yellowish). The Kawasaki cruisers look like they have more flake in the colour too. The Burnt Orange is nice, much better than that hideous copper some car brands offer.

Edit: +1 on the ZRX, the Han Solo of motorcycles.

I don't like their green at all....their Blue and Burnt Orange on the other hand are fantastic!

I see two types of green on Kawa's the old and new.

I didn't like the green on the older ninja's zx's, it was too bright and ugly.

However the newer green is really nice like on the new er6n's etc. It has a little more of a darker shade with a metallic looking finish. Really like that green.

Kawi green is best green.

Kawasaki keeps changing the green.

In the 70s-80s, Kawa green was a simple yellow-green.

In the late 90s-2000s they changed it to a flouro-green.

Now, it's a metallic candy green.

It's distinctive to the brand. No one is going to paint another brand green.
Metallic blue, however, seems open to everyone.

Colour is a personal preference but for me as long as theres a Kawi, shell be green. I tried convincing myself to lean towards orange or red when i was looking to buy my current bike but deep down, i couldnt move away from the green. But thats just my opinion

Love it.JohnnyP is doing my Ossa's frame right now with it to look like this.

That will be awesome, Wingboy!

For me, I am not a fan of Kawasaki (road going rides that is) but if you get one, it has to be green! My buddy got a black one, like dudewtffff

Stand up Jetski's now.. Yeah!

The green Kawis resell faster.

Guys there are basically TWO colours of Kawi green...
(Pardon my surprise but I thought everyone knew this.)
The rich, metallic emerald green is used across their entire streetbike model line.
The iconic, pure bright green is 'Kawi Racing green' and is used only on their SuperSports ie. racetrack bikes.
Almost everyone loves the gorgeous streetbike green colour.
But the fluorescent SS green is more of an acquired taste, heheh...

1. Ninja 300s are racing green.
2. 70s racing green was a pea soup green.
