Kaos helmets?

Went to GP Bikes and saw this helmet and wanted to buy it. Lately I prefer helmets that have an internal visor(convenience), this one doesn't have it, but it comes with a white and black visor. I tried to change the visor, see how it works, with one of the sales guys and had a tough time doing it. Decided to go with the Shark Vision-R instead which is an awesome helmet.

saw this today and two of them had loose chin peice and the fabric looked like it will separate from the plastic edge easily also the trim on the bottom of the helmet didn't look like it was on securely. I really wanted to get it but the crap fit and finish turned me off also the warranty is only 90days...got the scorpion exo 1100 instead

My impression too. Very cheap for CF, but overall quality low. Doesn't look like it will last long.

I have one of these, and I like the fact that its light as hell. My only complaint/concern is the chin strap. Its not the traditional d-ring style, sort of like a ratched strap. ( what you would find on a pair of rollerblades with no laces) and because of the lack of d-rings there is no way to lock it to the bike.

Yes use could use some Manu info. Lost the chin piece last summer. Need a new one to cut down on the cold and wind noise. Bought mine at Honda Nanaimo.

don't quote me on it but I think Rider's Choice had them for 239.99+ tax, not bad...

It impresses at first with its lightness but overall construction seems to be lacking on closer inspection. The gasket behind the visor seemed not to seal properly and that's probably where most of the wind noise comes from.

I guess it ok for a beater or a backup that still has a bling factor to it, but if I was looking for a cheaper helmet I'd go with something like an AGV K4 or Bell Qualifier, at least you know its from a reputable long-standing company if you do need any support.

There will always be people that will say a helmet is just a helmet and they're all tested to the same standards blah blah blah...they're the same ones that ask you why you chose Dainese over Velocity.

For what it's worth I think TAFB's wrote an e-mail to them asking for specifications and DOT approval awhile back, and everything came back good.

Similar to Schuberth I assume. There is a little "T" adapter you buy to slip into the buckle so you can hang it from the hooks on most bikes.
