OP you'll have fun - lose the overthinking - if you've got the money do it or it will nag you for the rest of your life.
Buy a cbr125, end thread.

The ninja 400 is a dog. The fuel economy on ninja 650 is horrible. If you want to save money and get around and forget the bus, buy a cbr125.
yup and it makes you poor as fak油井緋色;1843402 said:Even if you redline a CBR600RR all the time your mileage is still better than a Corolla lol
And if they OP really gave a **** about mileage, or if you honestly got a bike for the mileage, go buy a Tesla car (look it up, it plugs into the wall).

OP, everyone's cost analysis is different. For some people it can be less expensive. Consider:
- small engine
- high-distance commuting
- fixing bike yourself but not a car (fair-ish, because fixing a bike is easier due to access)
- buying used gear (no real cost, because it can be sold for the same price it was bought)
- gas savings (see first point)
- parking savings
- 25+ riders can see cheaper insurance
Don't forget to consider winter.
Now that the theory is out of the way, go ride!
Living in toronto you can easily ride up until january and resume riding at the start of march.
The last couple winters maybe. Though we got really lucky.
I want to ride in January. I'm still new so I ride ATGATT, so friggin hot all the time.
Buy good gloves to protect your hands and wear a backpack. If you crash your backpack will cushion the fall.
Are you for real?
LOLZ
I kind of felt for you with human resources, but wow, just wow, you are something different.
It's 35 degrees out, you want to wear full gear go ahead.
ride wearing whatever you want but don't go around claiming a backpack offers any sort of real protection
yo dawg, this one time i got hit by a car but I survived so you can get hit by a car and survive all the time, styllDepends on what you have in it. Years ago I had it full of books, fell off the bike and landed on the backpack. The backpack cushioned the fall. Yes I claim it offers real protection!
sorry if this has already been mentioned, but having owned cars and boats i was thrilled to learn how much less depreciation is a factor if you buy a popular bike with high resale....i.e some of those high demand 250s will make u smile when you sell it.
we dont SEE depreciation day to day but its a huge factor when u do the math.
