Worst case scenario you drop a milly in a locked gic and withdraw the interest. Live comfortably for a year. Rinse and repeat."You don't think about it at the time"
Ummm, yes you do. You've just gotten more money than you know what to do with. Not saying hire a FA but do something to keep the moolah ya just won. Stupidity.
Then again, 9 kids....
Worst case scenario you drop a milly....
Milly Vanilli? ?"milly"? is that what you kids are calling it now? Imagine how much vanilli ice cream you could buy?

So it seems that it is possible to purchase tickets online. I'm gonna drop a few bucks. What can I say? I'm a gambling degenerate.

I'm just doing some research now, as to be valid, it has to be an authorized reseller. It seems many scammers have popped up already. Should have an answer by tomorrow night. But if you find something first, please share.Link? I might just join you in the degenerate activity and screw up the odds even more in the process.
I have to think there'd be a lot of ****** Americans if a Canuck won it all.

OH!:duckie: On USA side, NUT sure. On Caanada side, no tax on lottery winings (generaly)! :love1::angel4:
i wunder how tax treaties will work, and how much can be claimd as taxs credit. BUTT, yous probbalbly right about USA and how CANADA MAN will payin incum tax to USA. :glasses4::glasses5::angel2::kermit:
In the US, lottery and gaming winnings are taxed at a fairly high rate. Federal income tax would apply and, presumably, the winnings would need to be received through one of the participating State lottery commissions, meaning that State income tax would also apply. As far as Canada is concerned this is just income, so Provincial and Federal income taxes would also apply.
Everyone gets a cut.
See my earlier posts.I know that Canadians who win in Vegas can fill out some paperwork and get the tax refunded.
Perhaps it's the same with big ass lottery winnings???
Even at 90% I'm not complaining.Even if the tax ended up at 50%...you gonna complain if you win?
