Hey guys.

I missed the TD on the 9th, since the weather network called for rain, and I stupidly believed them. :banghead:

Anyways, i've booked the Turn2 one on the 16th. :)

Who else is coming?
According to their site, they are running Beginner and Hotshoe only.

Myself and couple of other supermotos will be there. Get out of the way!

If i get back to TO in time im there. June 2nd it was supposed to be the same arrangement and was an open track from 530-9 pm instead
Plenty of time on the track...

Open track would be awesome. :D

As long as us slower guys stay on-line, the faster guys can get around no problem. Predictability is key. Hopefully they cover this if the night goes this route.

I'm signed up... Two groups would be better unless there are only about 10 guys showing up for the track day.
Faster guys coming up on slower guys is like running into moving walls... it can get dangerous.

If that's what you think (which is entirely valid) then say so to the organisers. If there's even just one person all night who doesn't want to combine the groups then they should split them up. I don't think anyone will lose any track time if they split it up into 2 groups, even if one "group" only has one rider.

The organizers have already split things up into two groups... NOTE: Mike was always very open in the past about having two groups.
I've been to both their Thursday 5pm track days, while open track was loads of fun it also got a little hairy at times. It all depends on how many beginners show up... too many on the track all at once tends to slow things down a lot. I know I'm not the only one who will suggest two groups if they get another good turn out.

I'm leaving for Cuba friday morning....... i dont know if i should risk anything lol. it's mighty tempting though

i am registered, but i've never been to an evening event. does anyone know what time the gates will be open? when is tech and rider's meeting? thanks!

Gates usually open around 3:30 but Mike from Turn2 might be there before then setting up... Tech happens about a 1/2 hour before the start / riders meeting.
Is registration mandotary or i can just pay at the gate.Do you know? (tried to call them twice, left a message but nor answer so far.)

You don't actually pay at the gates like usual, you just drive on in to the pit area... At some point Mike from Turn2 gets his online computer hooked up and you make them aware that your pre-registered (through the Turn2 website) or would like to pay then and there at a slightly increased cost. Your given a wrist ban that is checked before your allowed on the track along with the tech sticker on your bike.

Good to know, that was my next question.

So we have to run numbers for Turn2 right? I emailed them and was told that they will provide numbers if we don't have them.

Whatcha talkin' bout numbers?

It's on their full tech sheet.

https://turn2.ca/ul/files/Technical Inspection Check Sheet.pdf

Inspect and ensure bike numbers are displayed on the front of the bike or
on the tail section, preferably both. Numbers should be at least 6” high
and are mandatory. Red numbers with white background suggested

That's why I emailed turn2, and I got a response saying:
Mike will also have numbers for you at the track. It's mandatory for identification...if something happens while on track, it's easy to identify who it is.
