JT saving us one bottle of wd-40 and chain lube at a time

Exactly what I thought. Guess whatever was safe enough back then is now no longer safe any more?
They are just sliding down the scale of less harmful substances. Not a bad idea over time. Canada following the US would be economically more viable as we are a small market for a special formulation. Would WD-40 consider using propane as a propellant? It's already flammable, more flammable may not be an issue. It is cheap and readily available. If they try to switch propellants from a fluorocarbon to some other non-flammable propellant, I suspect they will run out of pressure faster (need more propellant and less product in the can).

There's always the manual pump cans if you don't need a a strong spray:

Otherwise these can be charged with compressed air:

My parents used to put that on my cuts. And they were doctors...
I was going to say the same - it was called mercurochrome. It was reddish.

Why is mercurochrome banned?

Why is Mercurochrome banned? The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) banned mercurochrome as an over-the-counter antiseptic in 1998 due to its inefficacy in killing micro-organisms, its staining property and the fear of mercury toxicity from mercurochrome being absorbed through the skin.

This doesn’t really bother me. Sure spray cans are convenient but manual pump sprays will always work too.

The part that bothers me is JT always makes a big show of things that really aren’t that big and people jump on board and give votes.

To be clear my opinion has nothing to do with political parties.

You're not wrong, but it goes both ways.

In this case, the rightwingers are pulling at heart strings scaring people that JT is taking away their WD40

Didn't the previous ban from years ago on, I believe CFC propellants, which were bad for the ozone, just make them use a different safer propellant? Aerosol cans are still around so not sure what this is really about.
The propellant of ages ago was Freon12. Now I see propane as the main one. Freon was also a fire extinguisher while propane is an explosive fuel.

Smoke, mirrors and photo ops, going after the small stuff. Ban drinking straws but import trailerloads of plastic wipers / mops.
