We don't buy gifts for each other as we generally buy what we want throughout the year...we do have fun opening up the many gifts I get from my students though...
That was a fun part of teaching. Around Christmas, I gave learners some fun experiences, they always had a nice response.

Instead of gifts, I asked them to makeup little packages for LTC and girls group homes near the campus.

I miss that.

Wife was reading a Polish FB page where there was a call for comments.

What can you say at Christmas dinner AND in bed…

1. All day of preparations and it’s over and done in 15min
2. Sure, looks good but I prefer the real thing
3. Just try it. If you don’t like it you can spit it out

Merry Christmas!

That's got to be 1300+lbs of drywall...

Pretty sure the roof would flatten. I've seen stupid... that must be a setup for the pic. No way a forklift operator would be that dumb.

100% setup for the pic. It looks like the forklift is still holding it up.

Funny regardless.

I've got a picture somewhere I took at home depot. They had rented a home depot truck and had filled the bed over the roof. In a funny twist, the truck was one step ahead of them with a constant buzzer if the suspension was overloaded. I'm not sure if that also locked out the ability to drive. When I saw them, they had moved an entire half ton load out and it was still way overloaded.

25 years ago, during Highschool, I worked for Beaver Lumber.

I've seen mini vans loaded with concrete, scraping bumper and exhaust driving out of the yard.

Mazda b2200, loaded with concrete and 6x6s. Customers buddy sitting on the 6x6 in the bed, as it scrapes while they drive out of the lot.

"Load security is the customers responsibility" promptly displayed on a sign.

I remember at the ReStore a guy had us place a used gas furnace on the roof of his old Buick. Not even cardboard first to protect it. He tied it down an was heading north to his cottage.

A friend buys beater cars and likes white-water kayaking. Roof rack is a waste of money for him. He straps the sandy, stone impregnated kayaks to the roof. Roof looks like hell and gets pretty rusty but he has never had one rust through before something else kills the car.
