How many degrees of separation?
A buddy's daughter dropped in for a visit on the 15th. Hugs goodbye.
Next day she finds out that a visitor to the office where she works had tested +.
Visitor>>>>Co-worker>>>>>daughter>>>>>buddy. How many degrees of separation are needed?
BTW there are other co workers and visitors and relatives etc. Draw the COVID family tree.
He is isolating, Kudos. No symptoms.
My wife watched a decontamination video before and the guy in the video (a doctor) had a good analogy......imagine you have an item that’s been touched by multiple people. Imagine that item is covered in glitter, your job is to make sure no glitter gets on you and then onto your face if you bring that item into your house.
I wipe down the surfaces of anything delivered to the house with a Lysol spray and a cloth. Packing boxes go straight in the garage. Wash hands afterwards, wipe door handles and even the doorbell down.
While we are still in quarantine a dog walker comes to the house. He stays in the garden while we let the dogs outside. The dogs fur gets wiped down gently and their leads and harnesses get wiped down too. No one is allowed to pet the dogs except us.
When epidemiologists look at transmission they look at how close the infected got to other people and what they may have touched that others touched. They will assume anyone too close or using common items will be infected. This virus really does seem to be quite contagious indeed.
Crazy times.
