Low balling is one thing, but insulting me while lowballing me is another thing. I know what it's really worth, but you price it according to what other people are selling for. UVIP shows it's worth $0, does that mean i should give it away for free?
It's not the low balling that got me ******. It's the insult, he pretty much called me stupid for asking what i want for it.
If you want a deal, you don't insult the seller.

Like the asking price... to see how badly he low-balled you....
Your bike is 4 years old.
If the Canadian bike market place wasn't so over inflated, the five grand offer would be spot on.

Busted is right! Then I looked at one, and was like what the hell, i cant ride this thing around. So yes i was considering it, and went to look at one , but like i said, thought they were hideous and decided otherwise.
That is true, but the market is over inflated. So i'm just going with the flow. I'm sure the rest of you would do the same.
lol just checked out the ninja ad and seems like a very good deal at $4k...
I was asking $7999. I see 2 2007 R6's in the for sale forum asking $8500. Common 2001 R6's are still going in the $5000 area.

You're asking $8000 for a friggin 06 R6? No wonder you feel insulted at the 5k offer! Except in this case you're the completely unreasonable one.
Brand new 08s are $7200 in the states. Give your head a shake, your bike isnt worth NEAR 8 grand.

Dude, just cuz other people are asking a a higher price doesnt mean there getting that for them! They end up keeping them or have to drastically reduce them!
People over pay( like they would do with yours) and then when reselling them they try to recoup what they paid which was too much in the first place!
Plus smart buyers for that price can go to the US and buy a brand new R6 or an 09 for that price.

How do you know what something is worth? You go and look at what other people are selling the same item for and you price it according to that. It's not like i was going over board with it, it was right in the middle of the average for that bike. Plus if people actually paid the asking price then you wouldn't have to post higher than what you want.

I was looking at the RC for last year, a long with some other big twins. I can understand why RC hold its value.
That said, I end up picking up a Mille and I believe its better value. The R version is the same price as the RC, but it come with Ohlins front and rear suspensions, steering damper, OZ rims and lot of carbon goodies. the price is on par with RC. The cheaper non-R Mille has showa stuff instead, component wise, it is on par with RC. But its usually $1k cheaper than a RC or MilleR

I've always wanted one of those things. I remember I sat on one at the bike show when I had a broken humerus like 6 years ago. That thing felt like a tank.
