Is RoseyToes the only decent mechanic?

Nothing right now actually, just looking ahead so I don't have a "O ****" day and have no mechanic. I do, however, need to change my air filter soon, I don't even know where it is lol And after that, all of this:

http://gstwin.com/every4000miles.htm

Don't know how hard it will be...just following info to make sure I can pass down the bike in 2 years without someone going "WTF DID YOU DO TO IT?!"

To reiterate everyone's thoughts, if you do search online you'll find a lot of tutorials and videos. You might even find your bike's repair manual somewhere. And if you don't, buying it in paper form is worth every penny.

I just made a tutorial for replacing an air filter for my zx6r which you can read and get a baseline, but it's very bike specific. it's in the techical - projects section.

Replacing the air filter can look like a crazy job, but it's not too bad if you prepare for it.

The gs 500 is a great bike to learn on. If you mess anything up, parts are readily available and not very expensive.

Good luck

z1 cycle is in Richmondhill....can you tell us what the markham honda ppl said to your gf that ****** her off so much?

His attitude, sounds like he's trying to demean someone. I've dealt with him more than once so I didn't have much of a problem with it; my gf on the other hand didn't understand where all the hostility was coming from. Pretty much it went something along the lines of:

"Can I get some brake fluid?"
"Are you gonna change it yourself?"
"Yes!"
"No, you can't do that, you're gonna contaminate the fluid and kill yourself"

or something like that.

When you need a no questions asked cert for a bike that is missing parts Rosey Toes is great for that no doubt, I brought just a wheel once and he certified the whole bike...LOL

This made me LOL pretty hard. I'll keep this in mind. When I went to get my ninja certified I had to work my butt off to get the plate lights working. ;)

ted helped me cert my bike over the phone once... i was buying it off a buddy, so i knew it was good

til this day, he still hasn't seen the bike... however i gotta bring it in this week for service... unfortunately, i don't know how to deal with forks

You guys have all thrown Ted under the bus using a company name and clearly stating they are performing VERY illegal work for anyone that asks.

Imagine what fun a single disgruntled customer could have by providing this information to the Ministry of Transportation.

Just imagine the damage people would do on here if they didn't like the guy, sheesh.

surprised no one has mentioned Ken McAdam (aka kneedragger88 ) from SOAR, he's out in bowmanville, but he'll pick up and drop off your bike free of charge.
