is it safe to ride tomorrow tuesday april 2nd

lol

edit: In case you were serious. The weather report says a HIGH of zero degrees tomorrow, so no, I wouldn't risk riding. Supposed to be 8 on thursday, save the riding for then.

Ya, wait till Thursday. Thats when Im taking my bike to get serviced. My rule is 100% dry, at least 10 degrees RealFeel. It seems that after next week, riding season will finally start. April 15, RealFeel of 19 degrees!!! missioning it up to Barrie area for some fun in the sun! (riding not beaching)

damn i got excited those couple of days when it was warm. Mother nature loves to play games with us riders lol

Yes, that's what mother nature is for.

Lol everyone else has covered this, but why would you want to ride at that temp? I rode for about 10 mins last night and thought I was going to get hypothermia

If you do go for a ride don't head too far north. We got about 5 cm of fresh snow last night and the roads will be covered in new salt.

Well it's only as cold as you dress for. :)

i swore I saw salt on Don mills this morning!?!?!
what is the city thinking?

The 401 from Kitchener to Milton was covered in salt/brine.
I was hoping to ride thrusday and friday but that just means lots of washing to do.

Ya i can dress for the cold won't be a problem but the salt and slippery roads will be. I won't be on two wheels today better safe than sorry I still wanna ride all season with no accidents. Hopefully Mother Nature won't change her mind on Thursday an start winter all over again.

Does anyone know if they salted or brined between Toronto and Courtice/Bowmanville (both 401 and/or sideroads)?

I was really hoping the city (or cities) wouldn't salt given whatever landed would melt soon enough anyways -- although it's starting to sound like I won't ride this week after all, and will wait for yet another good rain that is slated for the weekend....

The temperatures are still dropping well below zero at night. You can expect salt to be applied anytime there's precipatition at close to or below freezing.

There is still a ton of sand on the regional roads around the GTA, as well. Keep that in mind.

hi
i was wondering if it is safe for me to ride my bike tomorrow since it just snowed/rained and it is cold. or do u think it will be fine ?

It's not that bad actually. There's a few spots around highway 6 that are plastered in salt, but for the most part the highway is clean. It was -6 on the way to work this morning so my hands froze up pretty well, but I had no issues otherwise. I'm expecting about the same on the way home.

When majority of the highway is white I don't classify that as clean....
