Is anyone a border guard?

I use a torch on the weeds growing in the cracks in my uni-lock sidewalk.

And the garden snails.

I was out front on my hands & knees pulling weeds earlier in the season.

LOL Gary, I remember you telling me about your Mom working in the garden. All one could see for hours was her derriere.

I use vinegar, salt and dish soap on walkways, driveway etc. Kills everything, don't use on lawn.

You've been blessed with a very good memory. Even the old neighbours still miss her derriere.
I cant bend like she could (still at 90 she was doing it) - my lumbar has too much hardware - hands & knees for me. She started the ball rolling - it's contagious. I've got the greenest lawn on the street & my daughter is a certified arborist. My son also has a strong interest in weed(s). Even had a gig @ The Weed Man.

I've been using the Fiskars tool for a couple of years and like it. Doesn't always get the entire root though but it beats the crap out of being on my hands and knees. It also leaves a fairly big hole so I walk around with 2 buckets when doing this. One for the weeds I pull out and once with top soil and seed blended and I fill all the holes. The thought is that the grass seed roots and chokes out the weeds. It has been working well for me.

I also top dress and seed every year as well. **** me if my lawn isn't covered in clover this year after I have been doing this religiously for the past ten years. I think I got the best bag of Scott's clover seed this year! I was out cutting the grass on Saturday and wanted to nuke the entire lawn with some good old fashioned weed spray.
