This woman strikes me as if she is running for President.
I watched a few interviews and she answer for Mitt.
She makes statements such as "WE are running for President" not he is or Mitt is.

There is a certain cold and calculating element to her demeanor.
During an interview, I watched as she touched his knee and jumped in to answer the question except the question was for the Presidential Candidate. Mitt states that he always has Ann sit in view because he looks at her after he answers questions during debates to see how he did or to get the "thumbs up from Ann".
Personally, I find that it shows you are weak and seeking her approval for everything you do.

I saw these pics as I posted my other thread and hence the observation.

The body language in these photos show who is in charge.
I have never saw a guy kissing his wife/gf and SHE is holding is arms. Also her thumb is on top of his when they hold hands.
It a natural reaction that men will put their arms up to hold/embrace women.

Something just seems off with these photos. Keep in mind these are candid photos after the previous debate so this is their natural reaction to each other. Notice the natural body language of her having the upper hand.
Yes, these two people strike me as creepy. Mitt seems a bit more sincere, it's his wife that has the "creepy" factor for me.

Please keep it civil.

The saying that behind every great man is a great woman is very much true.....but IMO you're reaching....because ONE picture shows her holding his hand you make it sound like he's a whipping boy...

If you read my post I referenced tv interviews as well. No, I will not go and dig them up for you and post them, but have a look at a recent 60 minutes interview. I think that is the one. You will see here sitting to Mitt's left with her right hand on his knee. You will see her hand "squeeze" and you will also see her press his knee/leg as she jumps into a question that is clearly directed to him.
Did you see this "I saw these pics as I posted my other thread and hence the observation."?

Spare me the behind every great man part...
What about the men that are/were gay that did great things?
So do we now say behind every great woman there is/was a great man?

Not being homophobic, but name one. And I am not talking about great things like break throughs in fashion, and or mythical greek characters.

Seriously?

Leonardo Da Vinci
Marlon Brando
Rock Hudson

Etc, etc, etc.

Back on topic............I agree with the op.........Mitt and Mrs Mitt are creepy.

I'd hit it!

Sent from my tablet using my paws

I completely agree. Something about her just feels Legion of Doom ish.

That's the odd thing, say what you want about Mitt and his business practices.
Mitt seems to be more "human" and not so "evil" like. He strikes me as a "softy inside" but his wife strikes me as the opposite.
It's the way in which she interrupts and answers for him and the way he constantly says he seeks her approval for almost every damn thing.

Women- Have you noticed she says practically says nothing about women's rights or equality.
The softball would be the equal pay for equal work for women law. Yet Mitt will not say he supports it neither does she.

Excerpt:
Now that Ann is using the details of her domestic life for political purposes, journalists and Obama supporters are sure to focus on parts of that existence that might reflect less well on her and her husband. For example, she has said that when Mitt was in college, the two of them were so financially strapped that they had to liquidate some of their stock portfolio to get by. At the time Mrs. Romney said that she was engaged in a “struggle” to bring up her children, the family was living in a seven bedroom, six-and-a-half-bathroom mock-Colonial mansion in Belmont, Massachusetts, while spending summers at their five-thousand-square-foot vacation home, which sits on eleven lakefront acres in New Hampshire.

Can some women chime in here to help add clarity as to what you sense from her.

I intensely dislike him but it's more that I just think he's a prick based on his politics and business practices. If he gets elected and chooses to receive a salary I won't be too happy (like it matters since we're Canadian).

She just seems...I think evil is too strong a word but it's what comes to mind. Like Hillary always wore the pants in that marriage, but she doesn't give me goosebumps, y'know?

As long as she keeps alienating a majority of voters with her sob stories (that are a lot like Gwyneth Paltrow's) I'll be ok with it./

What happens in the US has a direct EFFECT on Canada?
Wars anyone?
Financial Collapse?
Primary trading partner?
NAFTA?
etc...

I never got the impression that Hilary told Bill what to do nor did she speak in the same manner as Ann.
She did not answer for Bill, she would say things such as you should ask Bill that or I can't speak for him.

Hillary Clinton was and is her own woman. Her success was not pinned on Bill's coat tails. She went on to become a Senator after Bill's Presidential term was finished. She went on the run for President.
That's why Hilary is respected amongst men and women. Hilary and Michelle have a similar style, they do not tie or rely on the men they are with to define them and be their success. They are there to support their husband's aspirations because they have their own as well. You can argue that Hilary and Michelle hide it well but I don't get that sense from either. They also speak out and support young people with a focus on young girls. Jill Biden has remained a teacher at a (State College). She was asked if she would enter politics, she said I am happy doing what I do and it gives her great joy teaching others. When she gave that answer it came across as "dismissive" to her husband's career. It was to say I have mine and he has his.

I don't see Ann Romney saying or doing things to help young people especially young girls.

Ok Macs lets not post for a bit as I don't want to clutter this thread. I would like to get feedback from others especially women.

I meant that our opinion doesn't matter since we're Canadian. Not that we're unaffected. Hilary always wanted to be president, but that's true that Bill wasn't her puppet. What I meant was that she was obviously in control of their marriage, but it was different than Romney.

I wasn't gonna post, but you misinterpreted most of what I said. I'm done for a while anyway, politics makes me pissy.

Yeah that's not so much homophobic as it is just plain ignorant. But, just to name a few:

Alan Turing, generally considered to be the father of modern computer science. He was also instrumental in breaking the Enigma cipher during WWII.
James Pollack, who made many advances in astronomy and atmospheric science. His work on the formation of giant planets is seen today as the standard model.
The current Apple CEO, Tim Cook, is also gay.

Gay people come in all shapes and sizes just like straight people :P

who cares is someone likes a hot dog or tacos or both. It's all the same ****. In the end, Humanity is doomed and has no hope.

Yeah, I'll bet there were lots of gay guys throughout history that made very important contributions. But we'll never know for sure because most stayed in the closet due to fear of being ostracized, especially in Catholic Europe. Alexander the Great was flaming and was one of history's greatest warriors.
