Invisible bike helmet promises to save your hair and your head [video]

Dainese has been making that for a while now, I think it's their 'Air' series?

Don't think it's trickled down to street gear yet...

Two different systems. The one seen in MotoGP in internal. They used the external airbags a few years back but stopped using it for some reason.

I think they gave up on the neck airbag idea in MotoGP/WSBK because it would make it tough for you to remount.
I think you're thinking of AlpineStars version of the suit, they use internal airbags.
Both Alpinestars and Dainese use an internal airbag system.

I stand corrected!\

Like crashing is not embarrassing enough, but having to end up on the little floaters as well? no thanks lol - I would have gone through 3 suits this season

The one RS Taichi uses is repackable so you can use it as many times as you need as long as you don't rip the airbag I guess. All you have to do it replace the little CO2 canister after each use. I'd imagine the Dainese system is similar as far as being reusable.

Can you post a link to your suit please?
His is not a suit, is basically a back pack type of thing he wears.. I believe

Can somebody post a direct link to these particular vests? I tried to search but there are too many different models, hard to determine which one is the one comfortable to wear on top of the leathers.

Go to air bag vests on the site.

All the way to the bottom MLC V i think it was .

I wear it on my leathers all the time, and never notice it anymore. SO much so ive almost fired it off, getting off the bike.

Very interesting, I'm somewhat intrigued! I was planning to get a new chest protector, now I'm starting to seriously think about upping the technology..hmm
