Oh man, if you are interested PM me, I got a route that is a hell of a lot better than this. However it will add some hrs to your trip and completely eliminates the lame straight through the lake shore to get to Burlington .

And get off highway 20, take Ridge Road and Twenty road at the very least. http://goo.gl/maps/SiU3b

so many good roads missed in the OP route,

Ridge Rd, Springcreek Rd, foot hills area,...

Doing 20 through Smithville and out to the falls will be quite an uninpring ride

That's definitely a very... fuel efficient... route.

And there are much more exciting ways to get through Halton/Hamilton. If you go down Lakeshore, be prepared for a lot of red lights and traffic driving exactly 49km/h.

Ridge road is part of the route I just PM'ed you, incorporate all roads from suggestions in here, the more interesting you make your ride the more people will enjoy it.

Also don't post the ride route in here or you will have a police stop somewhere on the way. Also, be prepared for a bunch of people to show up out of the blue, my last ride to niagara 10 people replied to the thread and I had over 50 showing up

Op, If I was you i would take my route all the way to the end of Ridge road and then use his route from that point on

mikbusa's route*, I just re-routed it up through Thorold Tunnel for a bit of fun :)

Check Collier Rd and the Pine St area, I haven't been near there in a month or so, but there was some construction closing some of the ramps, it may have just been Pine but plan some alternates in the area. Mikbusa may be able to confirm exactly what roads are affected.

Only Pine is blocked off for construction, and I wouldn't play too much in the tunnel area or highway near it, it's a favourite fishing hole for OPP.

Ah man that's terrible... Sorry to hear it, on the bright side at least it didn't cause you to injure yourself or worse, because things could have went bad real fast. Damn... Hope you'll be able to get back on two wheels sooner rather than later.
