Intercom for 2up riding

An this runs on talk time minutes or data?
If your across the boarder will it still work or will you have to have your roaming and long distance turned on?

This runs on Bluetooth, no talk time and no data used. It will work even if you're in the middle of nowhere and there is no cellphone signal.

This is amazing, I asked this question a while ago and the masses said impossible, and you made it possible!

If you had come out with this litteraly a month ago I wouldn't have bought my sena....and had it for android...

But still, sweet app

Cool app man. So it's basically a short range walkie-talkie that works over BT?

So could several bikes be on this and be able to talk to each other? Taking into account the 30ft BT range and your fellow riders were close enough to you in the group.

In theory the app could support this, but in practice if you want to keep safe distances between riders, you will probably fall out of range a lot. For example, at 60 km/h a gap of 1 second equates to 55 ft. To stay connected as you ride at varying distances like that you need something that can give the signal more power, and iOS API will not let me fry your Bluetooth chip unfortunately.

I'm thinking of trying this app out now that the wife has moved to an iPhone that can support it. Question for those that are using it, what are some headset/mic options?

Just tried this in this house (haven't tried on the road yet) and it works remarkably well so far.

So are you in constant communication with the other person? Or can it respond to voice commands so that I (we) can listen to music until we want to chat? Also, does the latest ipod touch support this?

Yes, you are in constant communication. It does not currently respond to voice commands, but you can play music at the same time by simply pressing the button on your headset to toggle it on and off.

It works on all devices that run iOS 5 or higher. Requires a headset with a microphone for best performance (otherwise it will just put you on speakerphone :)).
