Insurance question

So many people do it when young. 99% its always fine. Best thing is to have a differnt adress then tge bike. And if anytgibg happens your jyst borrowing it.

This is a VERY valid point your driver's licence CAN NOT have the same address as your parents and the bike. if it does then as previously stated your parents would have to list you on the policy as a driver and therefore, there would be NO savings, (which is why I assume your doing this). Also if your in that accident when the claims department sees your a residence and not on the policy forget about any coverage.

As someone said if you have to committ insurance fraud to afford to ride a 125 then your priorities need examining...lol

Does your family member have an M licence?

More fraud means all M/C rates go up. Why do the rest of us have to constantly pick up the tab for wishful thinkers that can't afford to pay their own way.

Hey! Why not rob a bank to pay for the overpriced insurance. What's the difference?

For 1, if nothing happens it effects no one. 2, if he makes a claim, he would of anyways. So really how is the insurance company out? Chances are if he screws up and doesnt invoe anyone else he wont make a claim on family members insurance so now the insurance company isnt out at all.

This is not the fraud that causes our rates to be so high. In fact, fraud is likely not even a big contributor to high rates in motorcycle insurance. The largest part of the premium is accident benefits, which covers the insured for medical in the event of an accident, because OHIP doesn't want to pay for it. US insurance is so much cheaper because that's not a part of their premium, they have private coverage.

Frankly, I'd rather have private coverage than this pseudo-free ********.
