installing Hotbodies flush mount led blinkers

Hey Gentlemen

I have a 2003 Yamaha R6 and I bought flush mount led blinkers by Hotbodies for it but I am having trouble getting the old OEM blinkers off.

Has any one removed the OEM blinkers? If so any tips.

Has anyone installed flush mount blinkers before? if so any tips, mine have a screw with a bolt on it and I just do not see how they are going to fasten in place.

Get in and take a look.
I have an 05 FZ6 and I'm pretty sure the mounting for the stock signals is the same. I know the lights you have fit my bike, I have the same ones.

If I remember right (did this over 2 years ago) it was held in place from the back side with a clip/rubber grommet combination. You'll figure it out once you get in and tinker with it. Once you do the first side, the other side will take no time once you know how it works.

In the socket from the stockers, there will be a hole in there (used for the stock ones) that the stud on the new signals will slide through.

When you go in to wire it, what I did was cut off the connector from the stock signals (be sure to leave some wiring to solder and connect to) and wired them to the proper wires on the new signals. Make sure you connect them properly or the LEDs won't come on. This way, if you ever have to take them out, or take off the fairings you have a quick disconnect and don't have to mess around with the wiring again...
Make sure you solder your electrical wiring and use shrink tubing, not tape.
