Installing HID's - yay or nay

What the heck is wrong with you people? what cut off lines are there on hid bulbs with no projector? A REFLECTIVE HOUSING MEANT FOR A HALOGEN BULB SHOULD MY BE USED TO HOUSE HID LAMPS! You will be a road hazard to other drivers/riders.

Nope, the left bulb is low beam (H7) and the right bulb is high beam (H7).

Ah....Usually the H4 Hi/Low HID kits need a relay to be attached and spliced into the factory harness.

You will be a road hazard to other drivers/riders.

A Road Hazard?! I wouldn't go that far. If the HID headlight is blaring in everyone's eyes it's a "mild annoyance" at best.

You don't see people crashing their cars during Dawn/Dusk because the sun is shining in their eyes.

Oh I'm sorry... I thought it was just a random photo from the internet that everyone on earth has access to.

sure, everyone has access to it, but it's still a pretty ****** thing to use someone else's avitar. Why don't you go find another picture seeing as the internet has millions of them.

I'm going to disagree with it just being mild annoyance. HIDs without projectors make an oncoming driver unable to see the road they're on anymore. Can cause them to drift into oncoming traffic or into a car or ditch to the right.

And I don't think there's one person in toronto that can say dusk/dawn sun at horizon level doesn't affect their driving.

I don't see why this is such a difficult concept to grasp.

I find them too intense. My eyes don't adjust as quickly as when I was a kid.
Sure I can see better but if I'm blinding the oncoming traffic I dont feel as safe...
Many do it yourselfers point them higher so they can see even better...
It's just easier for me to slow down to where I can see.

At some point people will start complaining to the government, more legislation will be passed and blitzes will get started. Hopefully the fines will be high enough to get these vehicles and drivers permanently removed from the road as they are a menace to normal road users.

If your vehicle has projectors (or you add them) I don't mind HIDs. Great upgrade for better lighting.

If it doesn't, I'll give you the finger as I pass you blinded.

HID's are not meant for use without projectors. I've been retrofitting for a few years now. Also, the light intensity is increased when a projector is used (well more like redirected to a more useful area).

I wouldn't recommend anyone using hid's without a projector. Many driver's already hate us, why give them another reason to?
