2 night hotels on the 17th and 18th, leaving GTA on the 17th (morning) and leaving Indianapolis as soon as the race is over around 4pm. Should be back in GTA around 3am in the morning of the 20th (Monday).

tickets are 70-130 euro each, euros:CAD are about 1.3:1

looking to share gas/hotel, anyone interested?

Reason for going: never been before, and its Stoner's last race at Indianapolis. I hope he wins.

Save yourself some money and buy your ticket from a scalper at the gate. 2 years ago I got my ticket for $60 from a vet named "Sarge". You'll have a blast.

I'm heading over but I'll be leaving from my temporary work location in Pittsburgh. Hope to be there late Friday afternoon until Sunday night.

We'll be there, 4 driving down in an RV staying on the track for the whole show. Why book a hotel when you can bring it with you, lol.

May also be Rossi's last year on a Ducati!

Heading down in the car with a friend on Thursday the 16th after work. We'll probably grab a roadside hotel around Fort Wayne and do the last stretch to the track Friday morning in time for MotoGP practice. We're in grandstand E and will be staying about a 20 minute drive from the venue. It's the first time for me so I'm really looking forward to it.

Myself and my hubby are going :)

This will be the fifth year for us and just as exciting as the first year.

Make sure you pamper yourselves on a dinner and have a meal at St. Elmo's, order the cocktail shrimp it's super yummy.

Check out Motorcycles on Meridian it's a good way to walk around and talk to other bike loving folks.

Is st Elmo's considered the best restaurant in indianapolis?

I'm sure it's made some 'best of' lists.

A lot of 'famous' people have eaten there, and if you're a GP fan, you may see a rider or more there. One year we saw some HRC crew with Dani Perdeosa and another time we were in the same dining room area as Kevin Schwanz and Kenny Roberts Sr.

Thanks. Flying down race day morning and back that afternoon. Maybe change plans to stay for dinner

3 members of TrackdayHub.com will be in the paddock shooting the the event and getting as many podcasts as we can. Look out for us in our Yellow and black shirts and please introduce yourselves to us! You might even make it into the magazine?

Regards Gareth

I'm leaving from Pittsburgh (on assignment here) Friday morning and hoping to catch practice late Friday afternoon. Anyone in Pittsburgh or Columbus need a pickup ;)

On a more serious note; has anyone ever been to Meridian street Friday/Saturday night of the race. I heard it's a pretty awesome party.
