Tire pressure is same as before and last I rode was 12-14 hrs ago, so I don't think it's deflating at all.

Should I leave it there until new tire arrives ?
Or should I pull it out and see if it really punched a hole ?

Best to leave it in there unless you;re prepared to fix it when you pull it out and it is leaking.

Best advice if to leave it in there and take it to a shop to have it inspected, repaired / replaced.

Looks like you got a ton of tread left. I'd recommend http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/brow...PRD~0095068P/Slime+Tire+Sealant.jsp?locale=en

Remove impediment. Remove tire valve core (tool provided with the slime bottle). Squirt in required amount of slime. Clean inside of valve stem. Re-insert valve core. Inflate to regular pressure. Either go for a drive right away, or put it on a rear stand and run it in 6th gear at idle. Do NOT let it sit for a period of time between squirting the slime in and bringing it up to pressure and rotating it.

You might notice for the first few mins of your ride the tire feels unbalanced.

80ml for your front tire or 157ml for the rear.

Stop recommending this ****, it's dangerous. It's not a permanent fix or safe fix.

It's worked amazing for me. Brand new Pirelli Diablo III, big screw in it. Tire slime help up until she was down to the cords, 13,300km's later! Multiple 260kph runs, 2up even!

Used it on my next tire too. Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa. So many nails in it I lost count eventually, probably 5 in total.

Bring it to dave at competition cycle - Whitby

He puts some really good patches. no need to buy a new tire.

If it was me, i would remove the screw, put a plug on it (purchased at CT or any other store) and ride it to Dave

get some soapy water, and apply it on and around the object and move it around with a little wiggling. Look for bubbles, to determine if it has actually punctured...I do this before anything to confrim its actually punctured...Sometimes you get lucky and the object is not long enough to puncture, or goes in sideways and doesnt puncture.

Your tire looks so new, I would not buy a new one...I would install a plug/patch from the inside of the tire....They are cheap and last long with no chance of falling out like a regular rope plug that is only temporary

Same thing happened on the first 100 miles of a new BT45 on my Kwaker. Removed the screw only to find it was to short to even puncture through the tire. All good. You may be lucky

+1 agree

Slime has a flash point and is for emergency use only!! I feel like a parrot repeating myself

Altho all the objections, I know I would choose the experience over opinion.
The perk of riding a 250 tho, the tire is already so cheap - $135 delivered - so, I may just get a new one anyways.

How long would this take ? Do I have to pull an overniter ? lol

I will do this tomorrow morning. If it is indeed punctured, can I just let it deflate while waiting for new tire from petes and pump back up before shop ?
Tire is not leaking at all at the moment by the way... I rode even a 2-up for 10-20 mins just to test and it's still looking good. Is it even possible that it is punctured but not leaking somehow ? I think they do so very very slow sometimes ?

And yeah, I got the tire from Jacksonville Powersports (worst mechanic ever) just a few weeks ago, and rode home from there on the shortest path, and put a 1000kms here since then...

Temper, temper now.... :D Let me handle this one.

Tire slime is good in a real emergency, like if you're stranded 600miles between Guadalupe Death Trail and The Brownair Desert, and your tire plug kit fails first.
:book: Never take advice from a guy with a big dent in his head.

Thanks buddy ...

So, it bubbles after I applied dish soap and water =(

I don't think I will get a new tire just yet for 2 reasons:
1. The nut came most likely from my street due to construction here. So, I may get it again until the construction is over.
2. I'd shoot myself if I got another screw in the new tire again.

@ ZX600

How long would the patch making be in Whitby ?

Not sure what the question is but go to canadian tire and buy a tire repair kit http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/brow...or+Car+Tubeless+Tire+Repair+Kit.jsp?locale=en

Remove the screw and follow instruction on the kit

Proceed to ride the bike to Competition Cycle http://www.yellowpages.ca/bus/Ontario/Whitby/Competition-Cycle/7186335.html

Call Dave first to make sure he knows you are coming

Not sure what more information I can provide

Since you're in N. York, why don't u take it to Rosey Toes?? He'll patch it for ya

I recommend this stuff: http://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/slime-t...es&fromSearchBox=true&addFacet=SRCH:tire+plug

I have used it on several occasions, both car and bike, with extreme success. I have gotten 18,000km out of tires with this in it, including speed. It seals very well, and does not affect balance at all. It is a bit of a pain to work with, but it WORKS. Also, cheap.

Because of the way it works, it seals from both inside and outside, and bonds the rubber. You wont find a better seal, short of a new tire.

100% recommend.
