If you own a British bike...?

I found a factory service manual online for my Daytona 675r.

Couldn't help but smile at all the directions identifying which size "spanner" to use, and how every bolt and nut was referred to as a "fixing" instead of the usual "fastener".

Marmite shortage:
Can't find any locally. Going into withdrawal...

I think you were out of the Country on one of your little walkabouts when Marmite was temporarily banned from Canada. I had to do a cash deal with the old lady at the local British shop., it was like i was buying cocaine haha.

My first few weeks in Canada I found myself needing a flashlight...popped into the local Canadian Tire (tyre by the way) and asked for a torch....got shown to the tiki torches in the garden section. I thought Canadians were technologically lacking at that point.

Used to date a girl who's mother was British, and father was Scottish.

I loved learning to work on cars with him because he was always VERY clear to make it known that in the world of lubricants, you needed "greeeeeze", as "grease" (Greece) was a country.

my wife is Scottish....she has her own subtitles.

she also doesn’t read this forum which is why I’m still above the earth rather than in it.

I used to eat Marmite. Mix it with a bit of beef fat and spread it on bread. Another one of those English grey-diet things.

Fine British Cuisine..... saw that on a sign outside London. Cant say they dont have a sense of humour.

I was on assignment in the UK for a while, I was stuck in a sleepy town named Somerton the food generally sucked. I can't forget the bland and mushy the food was from being overcooked.

One thing the open immigration policy has done for the Brits is improve tablefare.
