7 days in vegas in too much. Lol. Did that last year. 5 days tops.

I figure we could blow a day seeing the dam and my wife wants to do some hiking etc in the desert. I am not a gambler so most of the strip time would be to see some shows a couple of nights and just check our a casino or two. Other than that it would be walking the strip and seeing the lobbies and other crazy stuff that are in the main hotels. Maybe zip line etc.
How about a side trip out to Grand Canyon? It's beautiful any time of year and would eat up a few days.
Anyone try out one of those helicopter tours which touch down in the grand canyon?
I tried to do one when I was there in March, but everyone I tried was booked up. I suggest you call down a week or two before hand and inquire.
I would like to do some hiking there. Get off the beaten path. When I went there, I didn't had enough time. I would consider 2 dys for getting there & enjoying your surroundings
Apparently there is a one day guided hike/camp to the bottom and then a day to hike back out. There were also the mule rides, but that just looked wrong.
just remember for anybody thinking Grand Canyon this time of year, the North rim road is closed 1st Nov till mid April, its at 9,000ft altitude so its snowed in. The desert is a odd place and the south rim is still cold. You need winter clothes to go down into the canyon this time of year. 15-25C temp swings are common.
