If statefarm looks at CC's how does Jevco figure it out?

I know when you insure with Statefarm they look at CCs
So insurance a 1000cc bike with cost more than a 500cc bike

How does Jevco base their prices?
Do they look at the classification of the bike? (Sport, super-sport, cruiser.)
And in any case
With Jevco would a 1000cc cruiser cost more than a 500cc?

How does Jevco base their prices?
- a combination of bike specs and rider demographics

Do they look at the classification of the bike? (Sport, super-sport, cruiser.)
- yes. the also consider brand.

With Jevco would a 1000cc cruiser cost more than a 500cc?
- depends really.

Depends on what?
For instance 2 bikes, same model, same make, same everything with the exception of CC's
With Jevco would this make a difference? If so, a large difference in insurance cost or a small one?

Statefarm doesnt only look at CC`s, atleast in my case the cost to insure an R1 was more than the cost to insure a GSXR1300. I think they take into account Motorcycle class aswell.

When I got my insurance I had my M1 for 1 day and said I was taking the motorcycle course so it would lower my insurance and they said there is no discount for the course.
They told me it is based on cc's so I got a couple quotes just to see
I got my quote for a CBR600 F4i - $71/month
Katana 750 - $82/month
for fun one of those 650 scooters - $77/month

That's not 100% accurate. When I was asking for quotes, ZX-14 was a bit cheaper to insure than ZX-10R.

Were they the same year, value?
Because if the ZX-14 was worth less then they might charge you less?

It was the same year for both bikes, both new at the time of the call. The difference was small, but the 10 was actually more expensive. I think that the value of the bike has little impact on the premiums anyways.

The Motorcycle premium with most companies is determined by a combination of the following variables (in order of importance):
1.) Class (Sport, Cruiser, etc.) . . . HUGE effect that can often lead to a 425% surcharge
2.) Displacement
3.) Make/Model/Year

State Farm is the exception and uses a very different methodology:
1.) Displacement
2.) Make/Model/Year
3.) Class (Sport, Cruiser, etc.) . . . a very minor effect on rates

As a result, State Farm is awesome for Sport Bikes, but very crappy for Cruisers.
Other companies are awesome for Cruisers but very crappy for Sport Bikes.
