I was faced with a dangerous riding scenario this morning.

Standard meep-meep motorcycle horn probably won't be audible from inside a truck cab separated from the hazard by a 53 foot trailer. Doesn't hurt to try but don't count on it.

Make sure you can see the driver's mirrors, stop with a bit of clearance behind the truck, and look for escape routes on either side.

I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DUMP THE BIKE...I'M F$%$%D !

As others have said give trucks, trailers and I'd include vans & pickup trucks with caps on them lots of room. I'd have stopped near the right side of the lane to be better seen in the rearview mirror and to give me an escape route. One of the first mods for my ST was an air horn which has proven to be very effective over the years.

Dumping a bike is easy. If it came to doing that I'd step very wide right and then let the bike fall onto its right tip over wing. On the 1100 and 1300 ST's you can do this with zero damage to the plastic or the hard bags (don't ask me how I know this). Then I'd standing there beside the bike waving to the idiot driver to try and get his attention.
