I strive to become a pro!

Rain + near freezing temps = this crash. Your tires just aren't sticking like they did when it was warm out.

At least you learned how not to break your leg like a certain other 125 rider who bears a similar resemblance to yourself.

Haha yeah. Well I guess I learned the hard way huh? I really wasn't intending to take that turn at that speed. I thought I was going slower, at most 25km/h entering the turn but I guess not..

Pretty lucky considering that there is barely any damage to me and the bike. A light scrape on the knee and upper body soreness.
Difference between me and the other 125 rider is that he was going like 2x my speed when he hit the ground.

That was a nice little slide there, it did look like you came in little too hot for the weather conditions. Oh well **** happens, been there done that, just have to learn from that one and try not to do it again....

Yep.. I've always been afraid of making turns when riding in wet weather ever since I slipped (but didn't fall) when I made a turn and the rear hit a manhole. Now... This incident kind of enhanced that fear.

Hmm...

Did you brake at all?

Or was that just a pure slide out.

Did not brake or shift at all when I entered the turn. It was a "pure slide out".

Question...how was your tire pressure?

My gf had a very similar experience, it was because her front tire was kinda lacking air. I don't know if this would cause your rear to slide out tho.

Glad you are okay, gotta be careful now that the ground is cold..it takes a very long time for the tire to heat up to perform...and it looks wet! i think its time to put her in the air! Ride safe brother!

wow! you had a slide going at just 25 kmph in the wet???are you sure it was 25 kmph??? looked a bit faster to me...more like 40 kmph

Looking in slow motion, I entered the turn at 40 but hit the ground at 30.\
I dont recall ever saying 25km/h xP

Are you running those IRC road winners? They suck in normal conditions. Consider upgrading those tires if you're gonna run your bike this late into the season.
Glad your ok.

see?? in any case that's pretty lucky man...i know while driving entering a turn at 40 even in dry conditions, i'll get a squeal from my tires, add rain and cold conditions to it and it gets worst

I want to get new tires, considering the pirelli mt75 as I heard good things about them for this bike but my brother has a spare set of stock cbr125 tires at home and im short on cash :(

Naw, the wave was to tell a person to stop cause he or she was coming around the right turn. There was a nice guy that came out of his car from the other side of the road to come help me pick up my bike but by the time he got to me I already had it up and moving it to the side.
Awesome that he came to make sure I was okay after I pulled off.

same here, I prefer the SV650 on cayuga and shanny then my late GSXR600. never been on the faster tracks such as mosport so cant compare.

ohohoh maaan, i gotta say it was pretty funny watching you flipflop on the road lol.. but im glad you are fine.. you probaly just skid on the white road marking

Haha yeah, I always laugh and joke about it watching it over and over. The GF doesn't seem too pleased with it but oh well :P
