I screwed up!!! Let's admit our stupid Mistakes -New Riders mostly

2007: I Went to lube my chain on my R6 after a long ride. Put on my disc lock on the front wheel and got the supplies and my rear stand that was inside my place. Came back, lifted the bike onto the stand and heard a "crack". What had happened was, when I moved the rear stand back, the front tire moved and the disc lock rotated on the rotor and pushed against the front fender and I cracked the piece; but not all the way through. I sold the bike the following year. Lesson learned.

Today, I low slid my bike at Dundas and Hensall in Mississauga coming too hot into the corner with a freshly wet road, turn right onto Hensall from westbound dundas, tried to slow using front brake, lost traction and slid, I hav already leaned over pretty far, I'm good, not hurt.

My mirror is ****ed and some damage on the right side of the bike (rear brake pedal, front brake lever, bar end weights.

woops, I felt fine after, just more wary of turns

My first ride ever, we went out to see the Badlands and got lost trying to find them. Pulled over to the side to check the maps, I put the kickstand down and forgot to put it back up. The bf had already pulled away, so I sat there freaking out for about two minutes when I couldn't figure out why the engine died when I let out the clutch, until I decided I'd get off the bike and tried to put the kickstand down... boy did I feel silly.

Summer, with all the beautiful ladies wearing short shorts

Yesterday, with my Gf on the back I got distracted by something off to the side, when I looked back, I was approaching a stopped car way too fast, Broke hard, Bike started to wobble and slide. I released the brakes, dumped the clutch and swerved. stayed upright, in the end was not too close a call, but scared the **** out of me. I need to focus more and not get Distracted.

Today on the way back from work, in the rain. I left my bike to warm up on the street and hid under a building overhang to make a phone call while it warmed, when I came back the needle was in the middle of the gauge (only happens in stop and go normally). I got on and started riding, the bike stalled in a turn onto Yonge, Started it, throttle was VERY sluggish, stalled again at Yonge and queen waiting for the light, could not get it to start, cars were honking, laying on the horns, then I realized it has been 200k since Fill(I normally fill at 100k) so I switched the petcock to reserve, the bike ran I rode home, chilled, annoyed at myself and slightly blind in the rain. my first time riding in the rain at night taught me it is a BAD combo, much harder to see VS rain in the day.

Thanks for listening to my disappointment in myself

I'm sorry, I'll do better next time

Anyone has stories about being dumb?

You're grounded Mr.

This is my signature

Let go of the clutch to quickly from the get go and almost popped a wheelie. Nearly **** myself.

Lol yesterday I took off from a light, I was doing fine in first, decided to accelerate quickly, I pull the clutch in to switch into second... but forgot to switch to second with my foot and let go the throttle for some reason... when I let go of the clutch I def. popped a half wheelie. Scared the bejesus out of me.
