Chick on green Ninja or whatever on DVP just now

Yeah right now and DVP is not the best time to learn how to ride. 70 in the HOV but you didn't seem to enjoy having minivans up your *** so you moved over. What's the matter with you? Try a parking lot first and have some respect for people commuting. I ripped past you at near the speed limit after you changed lanes before Don Mills (way before, again, what's wrong with you?) so all I could see was it was a bigger model kawi.

Re: Chick on green Ninja or whatever on DVP just now

Some people find it comforting to look at the road ahead and not see another vehicle in their lane.

Sarcasm font

Re: Chick on green Ninja or whatever on DVP just now

Given that two bikes have already been taken out on the HOV keeping the relative speed down might be a good idea, no? She respected others by moving over to allow faster vehicles to pass. Not clear what the Don Mills problem was either. She moved out of your way too early? What do you care? Sounds like caution versus impatience unless I'm missing something.

Re: Chick on green Ninja or whatever on DVP just now

nah I could smell the fear from 6 cars back. This was not a smooth 70 (more like wavering between 70 and 80) and there was plenty of rage building up in behind.
It would have been smarter to just pull up to keep pace with whatever was in front (like she was just a few km prior) but fear overcame and I guess she went for practicing slow speed maneuvers instead.

Sounds like caution versus impatience unless I'm missing something.

Yeah, I guess sometimes it is ride or sit, don't wobble.

Re: Chick on green Ninja or whatever on DVP just now

You witnessed a mini-van riding up the *** of a rider and you did not ride up along and smack their mirror off?

+1

OP, do you not rmb when you first started riding? I went 80-90 down highway 7 and thought I was gonna die from the speed lol

Plus wasn't it a chick too? You could've scored points.

I bet you didn't do it in the left lane. Thirsty much? I felt like knocking her mirrors off. Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned gender so the white knights could think more objectively.

Re: Chick on green Ninja or whatever on DVP just now

Rpping down the HOV on the DVP is a scary thing. There's always some ahole in a beemer or audi who is "special" and needs to get over to the HOV lane....i try to follow a cage or two...

Might not have known better.

Gender doesn't change my opinion; I try not to judge other riders or 99% of riders would be complete trash because they turn crossed up. Try looking out for others instead of being judgmental.

And yes, I was in the left lane =P

Re: Chick on green Ninja or whatever on DVP just now

3 points and a fine, if she crossed outside of the designated zone.

Had someone with a Quebec plate over here, doing 30 in an 80.
She didn't seem happy about having all those cars on her tail, but wouldn't pull onto the shoulder to let them pass either.

Where do people get these ideas from?

lol

One or two lane road? Could've just passed on the right or used the shoulder.

Or "encourage" her using the horn.

Tbh, I try not to get mad about these things anymore because I realized every car, especially cars that can't take ramps at speed, piss me off.

Re: Chick on green Ninja or whatever on DVP just now

Knock my mirror off and you'd be kissing fender.

Too many 250 / just upgraded after 500km of riding to a 600 riders who think they're a moto gp legend.

Re: Chick on green Ninja or whatever on DVP just now

Just to be clear, I'm not here ****** because someone on a bike was going a safe speed and holding me up.
This was someone (a woman, I've already let that out of the bag) that was obviously uncomfortable with the machine they were operating in the place they were attempting to do it.
You know that time you are stuck going way below speed behind some granny in a Buick that can't see over the wheel, playing slalom with imaginary kitties on the road?
That, except nice green 600cc+ bike, in HOV lane during rush hour. She wasn't directly in front of me, there were 5 or 6 vehicles between us and rage was a-brewin up there.
Just my PSA that if you are going to do experimental machine testing, do it outside rush hour please, have a bit of courtesy for people trying to get places. Like most people always do.

Re: Chick on green Ninja or whatever on DVP just now

Maybe she was slowing down traffic behind her so she has more space up front to be comfortable....or setting up to do wheelies?

One each way with a soft shoulder. Intersection just ahead and then a bike crossing, or I would have done what the guy in front of me did and pass her across the double solid. She did manage to get up to about 55 at one point, after I gave her a polite toot, but that didn't last long. I ended up putting on the four ways, lest some hyper active speed freak run into the back of my minivan, and waited for a km until the passing lines appeared. No idea why she was training so far from the border. Maybe she'd been dinged by Quebec's minimum limits.

Oh, and btw an HOV lane is unfortunately not a passing lane.
Many times you're better off in the regular lanes if you're trying to pass other vehicles.
