i was approaching the quebec border and everything became more and more bilingual... then as soon as i crosssed over the border into quebec there wasnt a sign in english to be found anywhere!

why do we put up all the bilingual signs and they give nothing back in return?

right now i am in montreal and its hard finding a canadian flag anywhere.. quebec flags are a plenty...
what a joke!

It's because the only officially Bilingual province is New Brunswick.
 
Quebec is part of Canada?

Just do yourself a favour and stop at one of the Montreal Cora's restaurants for breakfast. They are far superior to the Ontario ones.

and

Go to Costco Quebec and pick up a few hundred cases of beer for far cheaper than Ontario rates.

I love Quebec for that, is it not refreshing that it isn't identical to Ontario? The more Quebec keeps their unique identity, the better. Not only for Quebec, but the whole of Canada.

I never had any issues, actually people have been pretty courteous to me and most spoke decent enough English.
 
It's by far the coolest city in Canada. Yeah, and Montreal girls look amazing.
 
Pitcher means the same thing in Ontario and Quebec bars. Well, it's pee-shay there, but pitcher is close enough to get a bucket of beer brought to your table. What more do you want?
 
1- canada flags on the weekend of Quebec's national celebration? goodluck at finding them
2- in montreal, directions in english are really easily found, mostly in the west side of the island (i get served in english first and french is optional kinda deal)
3- all of what other people said beer wise...
4- car insurance is a FRACTION of what we pay here, plating your bike though is an other story :p
5- its a different culture altogether which allows you to find beer/booze in your convenience store, grocery store ANNND liquor commission (SAQ)
basically french in the province is what is taught in schools... some areas of quebec will not speak a word of english (although with internet and all that jazz bilingualism is a lot more widespread)
Im pretty sure you have more french-english bilinguals in the province than in all the rest of canada

Also...I love Quebec...it reminds me of europe but with badly spoken french. :)

...why, I do believe that could be arranged...I hear there's a few quaint strip bars in Montreal that may deserve our attention...
