I think big weather like that is awesome. And I'm probably not alone in wanting to experience stuff like this first hand.

They should've brought a surf board

Honestly..I tell people I wouldn't actually mind staying in the Carribean during a hurricane..the hotels are solid...as long as it's not a Cat 5 direct hit, it would be kinda cool I think. They think I'm an idiot..this just adding to that opinion apparently.. :-p

I agree. It would be a once in a lifetime event for sure.

That's equivalent to me sayin' "I want to be shelled with 105mm cannons, it looks like fun"

My parents survived a major hurricane and from their description its not pleasant. Especially when you see all your belongings being shred to pieces

I just want to do a catagory 1, not a 4 or 5.

Meh..some people are afraid of going into water cuz they almost drowned once. Manageable risk..

I've only experience what they call a storm, but when I visited my parents and saw the damage, it freaked me out. I saw leaves of trees blasted onto the walls of buildings leaving an imprint like if something pushed the leaves with high pressure. Pieces of wood become embedded into wooded structures and metal pieces act as bullets. I've heard u can get beheaded from stop signs and other metal sheets. The thing about hurricanes is u can't easily avoid it like a tornado, they affect a larger area.

Those photos were obviously taken at the beginning of the hurricane. I'd like to see pics of their faces in another 2 hrs after.
I hope they stay away from other buildings while it pass because they'll be dodging projectiles like the matrix

My first sportbike....when I was 17. I had been riding dirt from 9-15, then cruisers for a yr when I turned 16.....then i found the CBR...It was a dream machine, and still to this day I would love to buy another, just like the one in above photo. I traded my Shadow 500 and Rebel 250 in on it.....the CBR was only 2 yrs old with 11,000 kms. I thought I was ready since I was coming off a 500 cc Shadow....I had no idea that extra 100cc in displacement would also bring 100% more power than I was used to. In retrospect, Darwin shoulda got me considering all the dumb stuff I did on that CBR. Way too much bike for a 17 yr old kid.

Being danger close is also kind of cool. Everyone does that nervous giddy laugh after the blast... Same thing here, I just want to experience it to feel it... And since I would have to travel to experience it, I wouldn't be worried about my personal belongings.

I would like to experience something like that myself. Just to fully understand the power that hurricane brings.

And before you all chime in, yes, then it becomes a sport. :lmao:

That hurricane cannot be that strong if people were to go outside like that.
