How to wash a sport bike, 2011 suzuki gsxr600 , HELP please

Just FYI, never EVER use a brush on your chain, especially a metal/wire one!!!

Not a bad way to clean it IF it's a non-O-ring chain. I have one on my dirt bike, as do many others, however the video should have addressed this as many also have sealed chains on dirt bikes.

Funny; I was wondering the same thing.

OMG no. don't get it wet.

Laugh all you want, i simply asked a question because of inexperience with sport bikes,

Thanks to the ones that gave me advice.

Don't put armor all on your tires or seats.

Don't use easy off on your bike either unless you like that unfinished look.

So what kind of damage did the bike have?

I also didnt have keys for it , had to get it made, cost me $40, the 2 carbon fibre pieaces that are on the tank are missing and exhaust was missing to.
But i got the bike started already

Go ahead wash it with watever, hose or pressure, i've owned mx, supermoto's full fairing and naked streetfiger bikes, and nothing ever happened, i just made sure to dry it off properly, you'd be surprisded how well sportbikes electrical wiring is covered, and or can take the wet.

Clean the crap out of it, nothing will happen, i believe someone once told me, motorcycles are built with being washed in mind, i.e they are water proofed from factory so the bikes don't get wet anywhere they are not suppose to.

this works for me

Its a bike, wash it. Nothing wrong with a pressure washer, nothing wrong with a plastic brush on your chain and you bike will still work fine even if its wet. I have been washing the same bike for 15 years now and there is still no rust, paint is fine and I have used the same DID X-chain for the last 10+ years.

Just be smart. Softer soaps for fairings, stronger soaps when needed for rims and engine degreaser only for heavy buildup. Soft sponge for cleaning delicate parts and a plastic brush is fine for chain and engine degreasing. If you degrease or ride in heavy rain then re-grease. Drying is up to you. The only advantage I have seen for hand drying is to minimize spots form water droplets.
