How to wash a sport bike, 2011 suzuki gsxr600 , HELP please

Hi , im new to the forum and sport bikes,
I recently bought a 2011 suzuki gsxr600 ,
I bought the bike from insurance auction,
And its been sitting around in a dusty warehouse for 4-5 months. The bike is all dusty,
I mean really dusty, behind the fairings, underneath the seats, the gauges covered in dust.
I have a history of ridding motocross and when washing a dirt bike all i did is cover the exhaust and wash away without worrying about anything.
So my question is , what should i watch for when washing a sport bike,
Any help is usefull to me.
What should i watch for?
What i should stay away from ?
Can i power wash it ?

Same as an MX bike. Don't pressure wash it, just a regular garden hose is fine.

Avoid prolonged hosing of electrical things.

I've been power washing my bikes for years without any issues. Don't be an idiot and keep the nozzle an inch from the bike though. Try to be gentle with the chain too. Good to go!

ThAnks for your help.
Unfortunately i dont think the hose is enough.
I think i might need a pressure washer to do a good job, maybe from a further distance so i dont damage anything.

Anyone else ??

Do you think its ok remove the fairings and wash the bike naked ? Im a little crazy when it comes to dirty bikes or cars lol i like to have my toys shiny :p
Is it safe to wash it without the fairings ?
I need to remove the fairings anyways to wash them one by one so if im doing that then might as well wash the bike.

Why don't you post a picture of it so we can know what you are dealing with?

Much easier. This post is pointless without a pic! :)

Wipe it down first before you start throwing water if it's that dusty

I will post the pictures tmr...
And for sure i will have before and after pics :)

Im probably making a big deal out of it ,
Its just very annoying to see a new bike this dusty,
But like i said this bike sat in warehouse un covered for the last 4-5 months.. I think a pressure wash and a hand dry will do the job,
Ill have the pics for you guys tmr

Cover it in jam and park the bike on an ant hill..the ants will clean everything off...promise.

Just FYI, never EVER use a brush on your chain, especially a metal/wire one!!!

Just wash it like you'd wash anything else, then care for the chain after it is dry. I wouldn't wipe anything in advance, as wiping the dirt/dust will just mar/scratch the paint.

For mine, I just fill a bucket or two with soapy water, rinse bike, use wash mitt and soapy water on bike, rinse again, then dry (or wax and dry). Not rocket science, lol.

For drying, I use a leaf blower to get all the water out of those little holes and then wipe down with a shammy.
